Invitation to the TBLR (Task-Based Learning Research) SIG workshop
There will be the TBLR SIG workshop at University of Manchester on Monday 29th March 2010. Some TBL theory based SLA (second language acquisition) was introduced in the previous BATJ seminar back in December 2009). This time task-based material development based on CEFR (Common European Framework for References) will be examined. I am planning to explore the possibility of the TBL material development and a prototype that has been developed at the JF advanced teacher training will be used as a basis for further discussion. I hope that many BATJ members will have some interest in this workshop.
Some discussion points which will be examined at the workshop are:
1. What is the Task-based learning material? 2. How can we apply CEFR to the material development? 3. Can the material structure based on B1 be applicable to A1 or A2? If not, how can we modify it?
